"We can't possible do it any harm," William said, "an' we'll keep it aired for
him with breathin' in it."
An empty house is a paradise for William Brown - for a start, there are no
grown-ups to interfere with his busy schedule of brave deeds. A growing boy
needs space to practice finding buried treasure and fighting cannibals.
The only trouble is, a house can't stay empty for ever. And the new owner is
surprisingly unappreciative of William's housekeeping skills... How much
mischief can one boy cram in to ten stories?
